Abstract

The International Youth Research and Practice School “Modern methods of molecular biology and biotechnology: studying and using the potential of organisms functioning in extreme environmental conditions” (NorthBiotechYoung – 2017) took place in the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov from 27 February to 01 March 2017. More than 80 students, postgraduate students, young scientists and leading scientists and professors from universities and scientific organizations of Russia, Denmark and Belarus took part in it. Within the framework of the school, the theoretical and practical courses, excursions to industrial facilities and a best report contest of young scientists on the subject of the school were conducted.
