Abstract

The paper presents the results of researches on the effect of minimum and calculated fertilizer doses on the yield of potato tubers, starch and nitrate content, nutrient consumption, and payment for fertilizers. The test fertilizer doses increased potato yield by 72–162 % as compared to the control group, without reducing the starch content in the tubers, significantly increased the nitrate content in them without exceeding the maximum permissible concentration. Each kilogram of primary nutrient pays back 90 kg of tubers at a minimum fertilizer dose and 45–40 kg at calculated doses.
