Abstract

The article focuses on the use of snow cover as an indication object of geochemical monitoring of the atmosphere in the urban environment during winter. It analyzes the nature of the distribution of water-soluble heavy metals in the snow-falls of the Arkhangelsk Region populated areas during 2011-2012. The concentration coefficients of mobile forms of heavy metals (Kc) and their total pollution index (Zc) on these territories have been calculated.
