AbstractThe researches carried out in the southern part of the Onega Bay during 2003‑2006, 2012 and 2011 summer seasons reveal dynamics of ecological impact of the black oil spill that occurred in September, 2003. Negative changes in the ecosystem were revealed; gradual, though still not complete, water purification was traced; the first signs of ecological balance recovery were observed.KeywordsWhite Sea, oil pollution, local white whale pod, oil content in the water and soil, impact dynamics.The full-text version of the article can be requested through the university’s library.
